Instant ideas for writing stories!

Ever really felt like writing a story, but not had any good ideas? Well the good news is, you don't have to wait for a brilliant idea to pop into your head - you can make ideas happen, and here's how!

All you need to get a story started are some characters, a setting and something to trigger off the action. Below are some mystery characters, places and objects. Choose one from each set by clicking on it, start writing and see what happens...

When you have had a go at all the ideas here, why not get someone you know to write down some more characters etc. on bits of paper, then you can mix them up and pick them out.

A tip - write your characters, places and objects on different coloured papers, so you know which ones to pick out.
