Hal grinned at them. 'Oh, it's the spooks. Hi, guys.' Then he paused and said, as if to himself, 'I can't believe I said that. I can't believe I'm talking to a bunch of ghosts just as if they were ordinary kids.'

'But we are ordinary kids,' said Goof cheerfully. 'It's just we're in a slightly different dimension. Or something. I don't really understand the physics.'

'Are you going to make a film?' asked Holly.
'Maria might be interested in doing a film,' said Hal, 'but she asked if I'd do her wedding video first. This could be my big break.'
