iTeach - Young Author's Workshop April 2013
"I'm having an Illustration Day where I will be using the activities on your website and introducing the children to you using one of your videos! I cannot thank you enough for making your website and YouTube activities available, to help children learn about the world of authors and illustrators. There are no amount of words to express how much of an inspiration you have been to me as well as the children. I follow your blog and you have inspired me to drop my fears and go out on my own sketchcrawls."
Ellis Guilford EIP; day workshops: Creative Writing through Illustration Nov 2012
""Lynne provided an engaging and interactive session, using her big and bold illustrations as a springboard for a new approach to writing. Children and staff alike, tried new ways to create characters and develop stories based on their own drawings. It motivated some of our more reluctant writers in surprising ways and gave staff another skill set in their writing tool kit. Importantly it was also aspirational and great fun to work with such an enthusiastic and warm published illustrator - highly recommended!"

Beth Gordon, Longman's Hill Community Primary School 28th & 29th May
"After receiving excellent feedback from other schools on Lynne's workshops, we made the decision to book 2 days to enable the whole school to work with her. As school finances are tight, this was a big decision...and we are so glad we made it. The children were absolutely captivated from start to finish, as were the staff. I think Lynne has gained a new army of fans! Lynne is clearly a very talented artist, but the way she inspired the children was equally impressive. We would highly recommend her. Many thanks Lynne!"
Linton Children's Festival 13th May 2012
"Your enthusiasm for what you do was totally inspiring. The way you took drawing back to basics, to show how expression can be easily drawn with a few simple steps and how to start all characters from a basic ‘snowman’ starting point, gave the children simple tools to be able to start their drawings from. Explaining the process of making a book from start to finish and allowing us to see your work at every stage close up was a real treat. I think the highlight for us was your demonstration of the angle of limbs when a character is moving! My two daughters have been drawing non stop since the weekend! I think they will never draw a ‘straight’ leg again! Thank you."

Storytelling and Book Illustration 27 February 2012
"The Berkshire Education Library Service spent a fabulous day with Lynne when 10 primary schools from throughout the Thames Valley joined us for a very lively storytelling and drawing session in the morning and a fascinating book illustration talk in the afternoon. The children were really inspired by her illustrations and had lots of perceptive questions about her work. The comment that will most remain with me was from a staff member in a Reading special school who said about one 8 year old pupil "I've never seen him draw before..." It was a memorable day for everyone. "

I thought the talk was very informative and that Lynne Chapman was a good illustrator. She took us through the whole process of making a book and drew a really good koala picture; -
I found Lynne really talented and made me want to draw more! -

Your drawing workshops and illustration hints were superb at getting all the children involved, and I am certain every one of them will be inspired to write and illustrate their own stories after your visit.
